1. No data collection
NarraDive does not collect any information about you. The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no way to identify you. It does not request your name, email address, location, or any other personal information.
2. Fully offline by design
NarraDive makes no network requests. There are no servers behind this app, no APIs it talks to, and no connection to the internet at any point during use. Everything you see — your library, your readings, your insights — is generated and stored on your iPhone alone.
3. What stays on your device
The books you add (title, author, and the text you type or paste), along with the readings you write — hypothesis, confidence level, and evidence lines — are saved locally using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. This information never leaves your device. NarraDive has no mechanism to send it anywhere, and we, the developer, never see it.
Structural counts such as Tensions, Echoes and Silences, along with the Character Web and Event Timeline, are calculated fresh each time directly from your stored text. These results are not saved separately; they are simply recomputed on the fly.
4. Your control over your data
Because everything lives only on your device, you are always in control of it:
- Clear all readings in Settings removes your interpretations while keeping your books.
- Clear library in Settings removes your books and everything built on them.
- Deleting the NarraDive app from your device removes all of its stored data along with it.
5. Age rating
NarraDive is rated for ages 16 and up, reflecting its focus on literary analysis of user-supplied text. The app collects no personal information from any user, regardless of age.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Because the app remains offline by design, any change would only clarify this policy, not expand what the app does with data.
